Project Overview
The Harbor Expansion Project represents one of the most significant maritime infrastructure investments in recent decades. This comprehensive port expansion increases cargo handling capacity by 40% while incorporating cutting-edge environmental protection measures and future-ready automation capabilities.
The Challenge
Expanding port operations while maintaining continuous service to existing shipping clients required careful phasing and construction sequencing. The sensitive marine environment demanded innovative approaches to minimize dredging impacts and protect aquatic habitats.
Our Solution
We developed a phased construction approach that maintained port operations throughout the project. Environmental innovations included bubble curtains during pile driving, sediment management systems, and artificial reef creation to offset habitat impacts. The new terminal is designed for full automation compatibility.
Key Results
40% increase in cargo handling capacity
Zero disruption to ongoing port operations
Created 3 hectares of new marine habitat
Automation-ready infrastructure installed
Positioned port as regional transshipment hub
